She loves her swing!

The swing set wasn’t meant for dogs—but don’t tell Nyx that. The first time she saw it, she tilted her head, gave it a sniff, and decided it was hers. Now, it’s part of our daily routine: Nyx jumps on, finds her balance, and lets us push her gently back and forth like a toddler at the park.

It’s hilarious, heartwarming, and very Nyx. She sits tall and proud like she’s on a royal throne, her ears catching the breeze, completely unbothered by the motion. Kids and parents stop to watch. Phones come out. Strangers laugh. She just swings.

It’s in these unexpected moments—like a Doberman on a swing—that you realize how much joy dogs bring to our lives. They remind us not to take things so seriously. To try weird things. To enjoy the ride. Even if it’s on a swing.
