Nyx and her ball are inseparable. It doesn’t matter if it’s the middle of the day or late at night — the second she spots that toy, her whole body lights up with excitement. She trots over, drops it at my feet, and gives me that expectant look like, “Well? Aren’t you going to throw it?”
Her focus is unmatched when she’s in play mode. She’ll sprint across the yard, ears flying back, muscles flexing with every stride, and snatch the ball with precision before running right back for round two. It’s a workout for both of us, but one that always ends in laughter and a very happy pup.
Watching her play reminds me that dogs live in the moment better than anyone. For Nyx, it’s not about anything else — just the simple joy of chasing her favorite toy and sharing that fun with me. It’s pure happiness, and it’s contagious.
