It starts with that look — eyes locked, body coiled, ready to explode into motion the second I move my arm. She tracks the ball like it’s the most important thing in the world, completely focused and alive in the moment.
The second it leaves my hand, she’s gone. Full speed, ears back, muscles working in perfect harmony as she sprints across the yard. When she comes back, tail wagging and chest proud, it feels like she’s showing off just a little.
And when we finally stop, she drops the ball at my feet and leans into me, satisfied and happy. It’s not just a game to her — it’s our time together, simple, joyful, and full of love.
