What i thought i was getting!

When we first brought Nyx home, I thought I knew exactly what life with a Doberman would be like. Sleek, disciplined, elegant — the picture of a perfectly trained companion straight out of a dog magazine. And to be fair, she has all of that… but she’s also so much more.

What I didn’t expect was the endless goofy side — the zoomies across the living room, the head tilts that look like she’s solving a puzzle, or the dramatic sighs when she doesn’t get her way. Nyx is equal parts regal and ridiculous, and it’s in that mix that her true charm shines.

So yes, I thought I was getting a calm, perfectly poised Doberman — but what I really got was a best friend full of personality. She keeps me on my toes, makes me laugh every single day, and proves that sometimes reality is even better than the picture you had in mind.
